Tara Horvat (Zagreb, 1989.) started playing violin at the age of 10.
During her education she attended numerous masterclasses and worked with renowned professors such as O. Shourgot, M. Sciarretta, P. Berman, E. Hühn, L. Sorokow, M. Vermes, A. Kouchner, G. Stuller, M. Ćepulić.
Being the first classified on the entrance exam for the Music academy in Zagreb in 2008 she started studying with professor O. Shourgot.
Since 2007 she attends the International academy Incontri col maestro in Imola where she has been working with professors M. Sciarretta and P. Berman.
She participated in many national and interational competitions and won the first prize in the International competition Musica insieme, Musila di Piave in 2010, the first and absolute prize in the International competition Luigi Zanuccoli, Sogliano al Rubicone in 2010, second prize (first placement) in Croatian state competition 2010, first prize in Croatian regional competition 2010, first prizes in Croatian state and regional competitions 2008, first prizes in Croatian state chamber music competitions 2008 and 2007 and many others.
Tara gave several recitals in Croatia and she played in many concerts in Croatia and abroad.
Some of those are concerts of the Music Festival Rencontres musicales de Mediterranee in Corsica and concerts in Ravenna and Trieste in the project Le vie dell'Amicizia conducted by R. Mutti.
She also held a concert with Italian guitar player V. Bezzi in Rimini.
With Symphonic orchestra of Music academy in Zagreb she played the F. Mendelssohn - Bartholdy concert for violin and orchestra in 2009.
Domagoj Guscic (Zagreb, 1982) received his bachelor and postgraduate degrees from the Zagreb Music Academy, where he studied with Prof. Đuro Tikvica.
He also attended master courses with renowned pianists, including Eugene Indjic, Lee Kum-Sing, Noel Flores, Boris Romanov, Irina Osipova, Zinaida Ignateva, Ivan Urvalov, Irina Kataeva and others.
Domagoj was awarded several notable prizes at international piano competitions, including “Musicians of the New Millenium” (3rd prize, Skopje, Macedonia, 2004), “Roma 2005” (3rd prize and semifinals), as well as two competitons organised by EPTA Russia: “Russian Music of the 19th, 20th and 21st Century” (2nd prize, Moscow, 2008), and “F. Chopin, E. Grieg, F. Mendelssohn” (1st prize - piano duo, Moscow, 2009).
Domagoj gives performances both as a soloist and a chamber musician throughout Croatia, Europe, Russia and USA.
He collaborated with artists such as Gaspar Hoyos (flute, France), Radovan Cavallin (clarinet, Spain) and Evelin Novak (soprano, Croatia).
He’s also performed with the Zagreb Music Academy Symphony Orchestra and Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra.
In October 2010 he was invited to the 4th International Hugo Staehle Festival for Young Pianists in Kassel, Germany as a lecturer.
Domagoj is currently employed by the Zagreb Music Academy as an accompanist, and is a standing member of the Croatian Society of Music Artists.
